The orthodoxy and the validity in Christian faith

The orthodoxy of faith is the consistency of the content of faith in its correspondence with the Bible, and the validity of faith is the consistency of the content of faith in its correspondence with the world. Therefore, the correctness of faith is judged by the Bible in terms of its orthodoxy, and by the final facts of the world in terms of its validity.

Based on this distinction, the necessity of the historical Jesus at the time of the establishment of the faith can be seen as to whether it is necessary to satisfy orthodoxy or whether it is necessary to satisfy validity. Then for the time being, it can be seen that the historical Jesus necessary for faith is sufficient if it maintains the orthodoxy of the faith.

Our faith will ultimately be judged as true or false by the facts of the world. However, faith is established before such ultimate facts become known. Therefore, we hold that it is sufficient for faith to satisfy the "correspondence theory of truth" after it is established.
