No.48 Referenced from ~ Part2 - Chapter 1 - Section 2 The end point of the interpretation
The limitation of interpretation is that it requires a larger "background." In other words, when we try to interpret the universe of the largest phenomenon, we do not know anything larger than it, so what will happen is that incorporating the universe into the story of the gods, we convince people. Alternatively, in entertainment works that depict the earth and the society in we live on in an incomprehensible way, aiming to represent the real world through the absurdity that is expressed there, the mystery is ultimately solved through some kind of conspiracy or historical device, that is, this becomes an "interpretation" of the world, and so the depicted world can conversely be trivialized. In these cases, the original function of interpretation, which is supposed to bring useful understanding, is lost, and only a contrived "meaning of the world" is spoken of. |
